Kevin Mandel writes fiction, essays, stage plays, other stuff. His short story Our Grateful Dead Story was a winner of Midsummer Dream House’s Summer Fiction and Poetry Contest and a Semi-finalist for American Short Fiction’s Halifax Ranch Prize. Kevin is a winner of the New York Press’ Best Essay Contest, and his essay Loser on the Moon: On Leonard Cohen, Fandom and Posterity is cited on and linked to multiple Leonard Cohen Fan websites. Kevin’s stage plays have had readings at Brooklyn College and HERE Arts Center. Kevin’s novel The World’s First Publicly Traded Young Man was represented by a literary agent but failed to find a publisher (c’est la vie). Kevin studied Business at University of Buffalo; Art, Literature and Creative Writing at the New School; Art and Art Business at Sotheby’s and Christies.
